These cucumbers have the most unusual shape but still the familiar flavor of one of our favorite fruits. It has a mild and delicious flavor. The first catalog recording may be from 1894 Samuel Wilson where they wrote “They are considered a great dainty by those who are fond of that popular vegetable. They have all the desired qualities of a good cucumber, slightly flavored with lemon, which gives them a decided advantage over the common kind.”
Cucumbers are relatives of melons and pumpkins.
