Early White Vienna

(55 Days) Bulbs quicker than the purple variety. Tastes a lot like a cross between cauliflower and turnips. My favorite new vegetable. Can be grown in the spring, but grows best as a late fall crop.

Brasica oleracea var. gongylodes
If possible keep soil temperature over 75°F until germination, reducing air temperature to 60 °F.
If starting indoors, brassicas need to be transplanted before their fifth true leaf, so not to become rootbound.
Brassicas can be grown in mild winters above 32°F where hardened-off seedlings can be set out from September to February.
